Today has turned out to be a beautiful day...other than the fact that there are lady beetles everywhere!!! It is to the point a person would think their skin is crawling.
We are running beans full steam today with two combines, and that is a good thing! I went to get a part for the grain head today with Doug. Then I helped him fix it. That is when the bugs started. It was warming up pretty good and by the time we finished and the side of the barn had so many on it there was hardly an inch between each. We, too, were covered. I just can't take it when they land and go in your ear!
We I must run...get dinner started, attend a fire meeting and do the daily here.
Have a good one all!!
Those things are awful at our house to. My daughter was on the trampoline today and came running in mom mom look at all the ladybugs. The bad thing for us is we live in an old house so they come in fun. We only had thirty acres of beans to run this year so everthing went great yesterday and we are done. Now on to the corn. Trying to get wheat planted tonight before the rain comes. Have a great night. Rebekah.
ReplyDeleteEveryone we talked to said how horrible they were today. We are surrounded by 300+ acres of bean ground. There are years when it is all corn and we still get them...just not as bad. Where do you live? Have a good night!
