So it is official...we are done harvesting soybeans for the year. We actually were done about 3 yesterday afternoon. Now we have to get things switched over to run corn. Today we have some errands to run so we probably won't start doing any corn till Saturday. (Of course it wouldn't have anything to do with an old saying about don't start things on a Friday, right?!?)
Tonight we are to attend a 50-60-70's dance put on by the Calhoun County Horse Bowl teams. We have no idea how this will turn out, but the person who heads up the group thinks this is the fund raiser we need. So...anyone who wants...Please come to the B.E. Henry Building in Marshall tonight for this dance. Dress up is optional. Snack type food and drinks will be there to buy by donation only. Cost is $5 for individual and $15 for a family. I happen to know a few families that could do really well with the family rate! :) Give us a call if you are needing any more details.
Before we go to decorate tonight, the farrier is coming, which is good cause Mr. Chip threw a shoe.
I have to make a run to Salvation army today to donate some goods. So I may stop at my favorite bakery, Continental, and have lunch and bring my husband a bite of carrot cake.
Hope you all have a fantastic day and fun filled weekend!
Be blessed!
It is such a weight off when you get things accomplished. That is what we have left also is corn. We are going to leave ours a couple weeks to see if it will dry down on its own some. When you have as much as you guys the sooner you can get started the better. Well have a great weekend Rebekah.
ReplyDeleteHow did the dance go? I was interested in going but everyone else wanted to have a "family night" at home. I didn't get to go to a football game either.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the beans are all up! That's gotta be a huge relief!
Have a great weekend!
