With all that we have going on in our lives...it does take some time to stop and just adore not only Him, but the season and the reason. Today was one of those days.
We got up and got some things done in time to head off to church to sing in the second service. Came straight home to do some last minute preparations for the home owner walk through. Went back to church to attend Christmas musical practice at 3. We got done with Christmas musical and Church Choir practice in enough time to meet the rest of the families at the first family that are to be on the tour tomorrow. We started the walk through process...ending just near our house with light desserts at one of the coordinators of the tour getting home around 9:30. So...can you see how sitting and just adoring what we have and whom we have in our lives gets put on the back burner at times?
To elaborate on the tour I am talking about...our home is on a Christmas Candlelight Tour for our church. Approximately 50 people will come through our home tomorrow evening. They will walk through all levels to see the house and see how it is decorated. It has been a little stressful to get it all pulled together. Right now I am thankful for 25 watt bulbs and candles. Less dust, cobwebs, and lady beetles noticeable in that kind of light! :)
Tomorrow afternoon I will make a cinnamon roll tea ring that will be given away at the end of the tour. I just might make a small one for the other homeowners and the pastor of the church as well. We will see how my day goes.
Well...if you would like to take a note of advice, that I need a dose of as well...take time when you can and adore the One for whom this season represents...Christ the Lord!!!
Blessings to All~
Hope the tour goes well! Sounds busy. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder to keep the Christ in Christmas!
